The vocal ensemble amarcord has been performing since 1992 – this spring the five singers appeared on stage together for the 1000th time. They’ve celebrated this anniversary on their first major tour through the Netherlands with a concert in Rotterdam. On tour, amarcord gave concerts in nine different cities, with the highlight being their debut at the renowned Concertgebouw Amsterdam. They’ve only just been nominated for the “VSCD Classical Music Prize 2009” of the Association of Dutch Theaters and Concert Halls in the category “Most impressive performance of a small ensemble” for this highly acclaimed appearance.
